Minnesota State Chief C Boiler License preferred; may consider 1st class C with intent to upgrade
Salary: Per Custodial Agreement $33.12 – $34.10 per hour plus benefits
Responsibilities- Conduct maintenance checks and services on boilers, water pumps, air compressors, steam converters, water heaters, refrigerator/freezer pumps, air handling systems and other HVAC systems.
- Maintain and repair basic electrical and plumbing systems and equipment.
- Coordinate activities with custodial, building and grounds, and general building staff to ensure efficient operation of all systems.
- Maintain an inventory of work supplies and equipment.
- Train, assign, oversee and inspect the work of custodial staff.
- Confirm that building automation systems are operational to maximum efficiency.
- Perform the essential functions of a custodian.
- Inspect building life safety systems and arrange outside services as needed.
- Monitor hours worked by building custodial staff.
- Conduct snow removal activities, shoveling and snow blowing.
- Assist with setting up and taking down furniture, equipment and materials for special events.
- Create a positive relationship with internal and external customers to ensure efficient and satisfactory interactions with the district.
- Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED and considerable experience working with boilers and building maintenance with increasing responsibilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An Associate/Technical degree is preferred.
Special RequirementsChief C Boiler's Operator License or higher preferred; 1st class considered. Valid driver's license in the State of Minnesota. Unlicensed Electrician's License.
