Hickory partners with craftsmen and business owners who build their reputations one job, one hard‑earned milestone at a time. We’re committed to becoming the trusted high‑end residential HVAC provider, one zone at a time, building an enduring company where employees set a new standard of excellence in sustainable heating and cooling.

Our team rallies around our core values: putting employees first, treating everybody with respect, delighting customers, raising the bar, and getting stuff done.

Today, Hickory operates a dozen residential HVAC brands across the Tristate area with over 300 employees and growing fast.

The Role

We believe great service builds lasting legacies. For decades, our network has been the trusted name in high‑end residential HVAC across Westchester, Putnam, and Fairfield Counties. As we grow, we’re looking for a detail‑oriented and driven Engineering Associate to support our design and operations team.

This role sits at the intersection of sales, design, and operations — your work directly shapes how we deliver for customers.

What success looks like:
Accurate, code‑compliant designs delivered on time and on scope. Sales and ops teams have what they need, when they need it — no gaps, no surprises.

  • CAD drawings and HVAC system layouts
  • System design and equipment selection
  • Design review and code compliance support under the PE
  • Project scheduling, permitting, and documentation
  • Utility rebates and incentives coordination
  • Collaboration with sales and ops to keep projects accurate and on track
What We’re Looking For
  • New grad with an engineering degree OR 1–3 years in HVAC design / engineering support
  • Experience with load calculations (Manual J preferred)
  • CAD proficiency (AutoCAD or similar)
  • Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and a strong communicator
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Alignment with our core values — you take pride in your work and get things done
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • PTO, sick time, and paid holidays
  • Career growth in a fast‑scaling, multi‑brand company

Base Compensation: $75,000 – $110,000
