Custodial Shift Lead

The Shift Lead plays a key role in supporting daily operations by setting the standard for cleaning quality, helping coordinate team activities, and acting as a first point of contact for staff. This position is hands‑on and responsible for maintaining clean and healthy environments, while also serving as a resource and example to other team members. The Shift Lead reports directly to either the Shift Supervisor or the Site Manager;

whomever is on site.

• Set the pace and example for cleaning standards, safety, and professionalism on‑site.
• Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using approved products, tools and procedures.
• Use all cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively.
• Sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, restroom cleaning, windows, dusting, etc.
• Communicate supply needs and site conditions to the Shift Supervisor or Site Manager.

• Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision.
• Ability to be flexible and work at a fast pace.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers with courtesy and respect.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, bending, twisting, reaching, squatting, and crawling.
• Must be able to work in varying environments and temperatures, including exposure to noise, heat, cold, and indoor/outdoor conditions.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds frequently.
