Our life is a little slower paced, but we still do have Walmart, Target, Costco, and most other chain stores in Kalispell 12 minutes from the dealership.

Job Summary:
The Subaru Automotive Technician performs work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or franchise standards. We offer competitive wages, paid training, flexible schedules (4-day work week possible), a well-maintained shop with new equipment and production-based pay plans that include incentives for highly proficient technicians.
**Your earning potential could exceed 100k a year based on experience level and production.**
Duties and Responsibilities:
Job duties for the Subaru Automotive Technician include but are not limited to:
- Acts as a goodwill ambassador for the dealership by promoting professionalism and displaying excellent customer satisfaction skills.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems.
- Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
- Inspect and test vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
- Continue education to keep up with rapidly changing technology and with knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment AC equipment, etc.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner following all company safety guidelines and policies.
- Perform other duties as requested and assigned by the manager.
Two years in a dealership service department as a technician and ASE certifications are preferred. Good communication skills, multi-tasking skills and computer skills a must. High school diploma or the equivalent is preferred. Must have good driving record.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Extended working hours may be required. Weather conditions vary depending on the season. Technicians work indoors in the service department, which is often noisy with some dust and fumes. Technician may be exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning material or other toxic materials commonly found in motor vehicle service departments, some of which may be considered health hazards. Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, pulling and heavy lifting.
Must be able to move about the complex in all weather conditions and be able to enter and exit most types of vehicles.
