Averill Hospitality is seeking a Facilities Manager tojoin our Team,

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION

PURPOSE:

The Facilities Manager oversees the functioning, maintenance and safety of the Averill Hospitality facilities andis responsible for supporting the Maintenance teams in planning, coordination,and execution of maintenance activities at all locations.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supports maintenance, custodial, and ground steams across multiple locations
  • Develops and assists in implementing preventive maintenance schedules for HVAC, refrigeration, roof systems,equipment, energy management and other hotel systems
  • Supports proactive identification of facility opportunities, issues and risks through analytics and management routine
  • Assists in coordinating projects such as renovations, repairs, and equipment upgrades within budget and time constraints
  • Ensures compliance with environmental,health, and safety regulations
  • Supports regional strategy and performance goals, aligning with corporate leadership
  • Coordinates with property managers and staffto address operational issues
  • Monitor budgets and expenditures for maintenance and projects
  • Mentors and coaches property level staff,ensuring team performance aligns with organizational goals
  • Ensure uninterrupted operation of critical building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, transportation,fire/life safety, building automation systems, utility infrastructure, and support systems
  • Assists in researching and negotiating with vendors for cost-effective solutions
  • Conducts inspections and quality reviews of maintenance work to ensure facilities meet safety, operational and company standards

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally,in writing, and over the phone, with Staff, Senior Management team members, and Ownership.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to adhere to all Averill Hospitality policies and ensure departmental personnel compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems,maintenance management and budgeting.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must maintain a positive influence in the community and positive relations with area vendors.
  • Respectably approaches others, reacts wellunder pressure, treats others with respect and consideration regardless ofstatus or position, accepts responsibility for own actions, follows through on commitments.
  • Makes a conscientious effort to help minimize waste of products, equipment, and supplies to increase the department’s profitability and the entire company.
