Fire Cleaning & Restoration Technician
Are you detail‑oriented, dependable, and motivated to help people rebuild after a disaster? Join our team as a Fire Cleaning & Restoration Technician, where you’ll balance hands‑on physical work with documentation tasks to support high‑quality restoration services and project coordination.
What You’ll Do Field & Physical Restoration Work- Perform fire and smoke damage cleaning in homes and businesses including cleaning, fogging, packing, and organizing
- Clean structural materials, contents, walls, ceilings, and surfaces affected by soot
- Lift, move, and pack out contents safely and efficiently
- Operate cleaning tools and equipment
- Assist with deodorization and environmental cleaning procedures
- Photograph, inventory, and document contents
- Record cleaning steps, materials used, and job progress in SERVPRO software
- Organize contents for pack‑out, storage, and return
- Communicate with crew leads and office staff to ensure accurate job files
- Maintain clean, organized work spaces and supply areas

Key Responsibilities- Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
- Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set‑up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
- Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
- Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
- Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
- Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean‑up
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to work occasional on‑call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
- IICRC certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
- Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
- Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
