DescriptionThe duties include, but are not limited to personal management, purchasing, project management, contractor management, budgeting, CMMS programing, software maintenance, and employee training. Intimate knowledge of all factory systems, facility, and machinery is essential. The Maintenance Manager's daily responsibilities will include prioritizing repairs and preventive maintenance activities, safely and productively working in an industrial production environment that has exposure to high voltages, hot and cold temperatures, indoors, outdoors, chemicals, confined spaces and mechanical hazards.
This position requires a working knowledge of all applicable local, state and federal laws that govern the safe execution of the position responsibilities. These laws and regulations shall include, but are not limited to the National Electrical Code, fuel gas, mechanical and plumbing codes, as well as the applicable OSHA regulations. The responsibilities will also include trouble shooting and repair of electrical and mechanical defects of all kinds, on all machinery and facilities as well as completion of preventive maintenance routines.
The Maintenance Manager is expected to be a mentor and trainer for other employees, and thus must exhibit professionalism, and high quality standards in their activities.
All company employees are expected to continuously improve their skill set and methods of performing their job so as to aid in both their personal and the company's growth and success. The Maintenance Supervisor will be expected to cross train and assist others as needed with trouble shooting process and production issues.
Responsibilities- Adherence to all applicable laws and regulations that govern the work activities of the position.
- Conduct safety training.
- Correctly determine the method and manage all form of facility waste.
- Hiring, review, discipline and termination of employees.
- Personal, project, vendor and contractor management.
- Employee training.
- Handling privileged and confidential information in a secure manner.
- Work safely with high voltages, chemicals, and mechanical assemblies.
- Think and act with security in mind.
- Electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Preventive maintenance on all production machinery and facility.
- Continuously improve your skill set and methods of performing your job.
- The Maintenance Manager will also fulfill the role of Safety Coordinator.
- Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Maintenance Supervisor/Manager or other leadership position in an industrial setting.
- Proven high performance leadership skills.
- High level of dedication and motivation for your job with a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Familiar with safety standards and PPE utilized in a manufacturing setting.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to stay on task with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem solving skills a must.
- Strong communication skills and good attention to detail.
- Education and/ or experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Must provide required tools and secure storage for them.
- Excellent attendance with the requirement for overtime work as needed.
- The ability to respond to an after-hours call in, promptly anytime day or night.
- Advanced Computer and industrial automation skills.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a job related field.
- EPA 608, 609 universal certification is preferred.
- Engineering and project management experience.
- Motion control and PLC experience.
