Today’s responsibilities as a Fleet Mechanic
  • Work independently while performing preventive maintenance and repairs
  • Utilize leading‑edge technology and programs such as voice application PM, Noregon diagnostics, Uptake analytics, TAAS, and more
  • Leverage and grow your skills on Pepsi’s diverse fleet equipment (automobiles, trucks, vans, forklifts)
  • Diagnose vehicle failures and disassemble, repair, and reassemble components as necessary
  • Maintain accurate documentation and vehicle software system (work orders, vehicle records, part reconciliation, pre‑trip checklists)
  • Adhere to all safety standards and procedures to support Pepsi’s strong safety culture
  • Help maintain one of the largest fleets in North America
Minimum requirements
  • You have your own basic hand tools; diagnostic, ergonomic, and high‑tech equipment will be provided
  • Basic physical ability to lift, pinch, bend, reach, climb, and manipulate and handle objects (with or without accommodation)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Must pass a forklift driving skills test (if applicable)
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds (with or without accommodation)
Helpful experience
  • Removing and replacing mounted wheels to torque specifications
  • Working under limited supervision (performing work on your own, remotely from a direct supervisor)
  • Using shop tools (engine hoists, welding, tire changing, small tools)
  • Preventive maintenance programs and activities (following schedules for oil changes, documenting work completed, tracking miles and usage hours, identifying and repairing defects)
  • Computer proficiency (iPad, desktop, handheld computers, laptop, performing diagnostics)
  • Experience or training involving hydraulic and air brake systems
