Pay: Starting at $16.49 plus $.60 per hour shift differential and commensurate with experience
Work Schedule: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm Monday - Friday; work is performed on-site and in person.
Export Compliance Requirement: This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies. Applicants are required to be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and must meet the requirement of being a “U.S. Citizen”.

Job SummaryPerforms specialized custodial services, such as maintenance andrepair of custodial equipment, floor cleaning and finishing equipment, carpet and upholstery maintenance equipment.
Essential FunctionsMaintains and performs minor repairs on custodial equipment, suchas vacuums, floor and carpet cleaners, etc. Completes basic maintenance on floor care equipment.
Researches sources and specifications to order parts for equipment repair and maintenance.
Performs specialized custodial services such as floor cleaning andfinishing, carpet and upholstery maintenance, cleaning buildingfurnishings and/or procedures using specialty cleaning chemicals.
Utilizes cleaning machinery such as scrubbers, buffers, and carpetextractors for floor care maintenance.
Provides all floor care services including strip, wax, carpet cleaning and may provide disaster recovery for affectedflooring.
Cleans and services assigned areas in University buildings and maintains sufficient stock and supplies for the proper performance of these duties.
Shovels and removes snow and ice from designated areas such asroofs, sidewalks and entryways as required.
RequiredEducation and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience in custodial equipment repair
- Valid Driver's License
- Knowledge of operation and care of equipment, including, butnot limited to: vacuum cleaners, scrubbing machines, polishingmachines, and other janitorial equipment.
- Ability to work effectively with fellow workers andothers.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Ability to understand and follow explicit instructions, both inoral and written form.
- Ability and willingness to perform any of a variety of routine cleaning tasks.
Due to ITAR regulations, the chosen candidate must be a US Citizento be considered for this role.
Physical Requirements:Ability to position self for inspection, construction or maintenance of equipment and/or buildings including confined,elevated and loud noise spaces.
