Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

• Maintain a clean working environment for all staff and visitors at the Salvation Army building and grounds; promote health and safety. Duties include picking up and taking out trash, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning and stocking bathrooms, ensuring buildings are secure, cleaning windows and mirrors, and performing minor building repairs.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, clean sinks and toilets, polish mirrors, and replenish supplies.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, strip, buff and wax floors.
• Open/close building as scheduled or as needed.
• Assist in monitoring light fixtures to ensure all light bulbs are working and replace bulbs as necessary.
• Assist in keeping grounds and roof free of trash; cut grass or remove twigs as needed.

• Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull heavy (over 50 lbs.) materials, supplies and equipment frequently. Duties involve standing, walking, climbing ladders or steps, bending, reaching, and transporting merchandise on a frequent basis; periods of sitting may occur.
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Protection from weather conditions is required, with exposure to temperatures typically below 32° or above 100° for periods longer than one hour. Consideration should be given to wind and humidity effects.
• Work is subject to noise; there may be enough noise to require shouting to be heard above ambient levels. Potential hazards include proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, scaffolding or high places, exposure to high heat or chemicals.
