Schedule/

Hours:

Part-Time. Schedule may vary based on operational needs and may include evenings, weekends, and special events.

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for staff, visitors, and program participants at The Salvation Army Williamsburg Corps. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing facilities, maintaining building security, performing minor maintenance and repairs, supporting grounds upkeep, assisting with event setup, and ensuring the facility remains welcoming and operational.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, offices, common areas, floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures.
• Empty trash, maintain storage areas, and ensure the building and grounds remain clean and orderly.
• Assist with building maintenance, painting, repairs, and light bulb replacement.
• Support grounds upkeep, including removing debris and assisting with basic landscaping needs.
• Assist with deliveries, donations, room setups, transportation tasks, and other facility-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and

Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials and equipment in excess of 50 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, and other physically demanding activities.
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, chemicals, and maintenance-related hazards.
• Must be able to safely operate equipment and work around moving mechanical parts and vehicles
