Math Interventionist
The Math Interventionist provides evidence-based, targeted mathematics instruction to students who require additional academic support. They assess student needs, develop and implement intervention plans, monitor progress, collaborate with classroom teachers and families, analyze student data, and adjust instructional strategies to improve mathematical achievement and promote student success.
Essential Functions:
- Deliver small-group and individual math interventions.
- Assess students' mathematical strengths and areas of need using formal and informal assessments.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans.
- Use research-based instructional strategies and interventions.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of intervention outcomes.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and administrators to align interventions with classroom instruction.
- Analyze student data to identify trends and make instructional decisions.
- Communicate student progress with families and school staff.
- Participate in Student Success Team (SST), MTSS, RTI, PPT, or other intervention meetings as appropriate.
- Support the implementation of district curriculum and instructional initiatives.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the building administrator.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the selection of textbooks, equipment, and other educational materials
- Establish and maintain professional relationships
- Participate in professional learning by attending seminars and workshops to improve instructional practice and positively affect student achievement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field;
Master's degree preferred. - Appropriate subject-area and grade-level endorsement
- Experience teaching elementary and/or secondary mathematics.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to foster and facilitate learning and classroom management
- Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
- Effective, active listening skills
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Organizational and problem solving skills
- Excellent public relations skills
