Position OverviewYou will be part of Welltec’s Global Operations function working with Well Intervention Services in North America. As a Maintenance Technician you will perform preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks on Welltec tools, focusing on Welltec’s Intervention Services and Tools. Your work will involve testing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness during job mobilizations.
Key Responsibilities- Comply with Welltec Safety and Quality Policy standards.
- Visually inspect and test Welltec’s proprietary equipment.
- Detect malfunctions in equipment to diagnose problems and repair.
- Disassemble, repair, and assemble mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
- Perform basic electronic checks and troubleshooting.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Perform various tasks and other duties assigned by the supervisor, such as shipping and receiving equipment.
- Interface with operations management to ensure workshop priorities are met daily.
- Embrace and utilize all Welltec systems (IRs, Redress System).
- Actively participate in improving and implementing new steps to ensure efficient workflow.
- Complete relevant paperwork associated with maintenance on a timely basis.
- Undergo Welltec training.
- Undertake technical, safety, and shop/office responsibilities as assigned by the Base Manager.
- Maintain equipment and facilities in an orderly and workable condition.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with management and peers.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 3 years electromechanical, electronics, mechanical, and/or avionics experience (a plus, but not required).
- Ability to understand basic mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic concepts.
- Interpret blueprint diagrams.
- Can operate forklift.
- Thrives on ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time in cooperation with others.
- Has a solid compliance mindset and/or experience in a compliance‑driven work environment.
- Awareness of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE).
- Highly motivated with a positive can‑do attitude and willing to work under pressure.
- Detail‑oriented.
- Leads by example in promoting and maintaining a safe workplace and holds others accountable to this high level.
- Competent troubleshooter with good root cause analysis skills.
- Good English language skills.
- Willingness to work irregular hours.
- Available to relocate and live in Williston.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Prior knowledge of and/or experience with well intervention services is optional.
- Authorized to work in the USA without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
- Willingness to travel regionally to support operations.
