Custodian

Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain and keep the bank clean by performing and following through with all custodian duties.

• Taking out the trash, tidying, dusting pictures (frames and glass), dusting furniture including desk area, and wiping surfaces as needed.
• Sweeping and mopping floors, as well as vacuuming carpets.
• Cleaning and sanitizing all bathroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
• Restocking necessary items, such as soap and paper products.
• Sweeping entry areas and cleaning glass doors at entrances.
• Demonstrating punctuality and dependability on the job.
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the appropriate supervisor.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Some professional work experience as a custodian, janitor, or a similar role is a plus.
• Working knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances and how to maintain them.
• Understanding of safety protocols such as disposal of chemicals.
• Detail-oriented and conscientiousness.

Walking, standing, and/or climbing; lifting up to 30 lbs; exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals; slippery walking surfaces; work on ladders; work alone.

The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
