Service Master CDR is seeking a full-time Emergency Response Supervisor for our Cleveland/Akron location to join our energetic and dynamic team. This position plays a pivotal role in being the first response to potential clients that have losses. In this role, you will respond to losses as they occur and help potential clients understand the process of filing an insurance claim, what the restoration process may look like, and provide emergency resources such as care packages and support.
In addition, this role will be responsible for responding to emergencies as they occur to offer Service Master’s services for complete mitigation. Complete the required documentation authorizing Service Master to proceed with securing the property and performing professional board-up services if required. This position responds rapidly with emergency board-up services to keep out the elements and unwanted guests.
- Respond to emergencies in real-time to offer assistance after a fire, flood, or other disaster-related emergency
- Communicate with the affected home or business owners to provide information about Service Master CDR and how we can assist them in getting their lives or businesses back to normal
- Use time management and planning effectively to achieve goals.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at sales visits, and with customers.
- Build rapport quickly in a high-stress situation
- Stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth.
- Is not afraid of thinking out-of-the-box or trying and adapting new strategies.
- Can adapt to new software, technology, etc. well.
- Must be able to work with clients and community partners in a professional manner, with a hardworking and positive attitude.
- Has the ability to track, manage, and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual performance goals.
- Implement board-up/tarp-up services to protect to prevent further damage after a disaster after homes/businesses have succumbed to damage from storms, floods, fires, or other unforeseen emergencies
- Secure properties to avoid becoming the target of vandalism or theft
- Work with basic construction types and materials
- Utilize phone applications to take pictures and document work
- Assist with mitigation divisions on large demolition projects
- Operate manual and power tools
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- A minimum of 1 year of restoration industry experience (water, fire, and mold) required
- Basic construction background
- Basic knowledge and experience with hand tools
- Good with technology. Ability to use smart phone and tablet
- Must be self-motivated. Must have ability to handle multiple job responsibilities and open to taking on new responsibilities based on the company’s needs
- Employee must possess the ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure
- Unquestionable integrity and ability to work in a family-friendly environment
- Must be available for on-call rotation and be able to respond at night and on weekends when on-call
- Utilizing technology (basic computer tasks, email, Microsoft Office, web-portals, CRM software, and phone apps) daily.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Physical job that requires working indoors, outdoors, and in varying temperatures depending on the current weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights and in tight spaces (crawls spaces, attics, etc.)
- Pushing, pulling, & lifting of tarps and other materials up to 50 lbs. may be required on occasion
- Being able & willing to work as part of a team, but also as a self-motivated individual
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with technology (mobile devices, computers, etc.)
- Strong sense of urgency
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
- Clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
