Consults with department heads, staff managers, and administrators to establish coordinated efforts to minimize workplace conflict; and develops resources and tools to aid Loyola Academy in fostering a culture of respect, collaboration and problem resolution.

The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that logically relate to the position.

Have previous successful club, high school or college coaching experience. Organized, hard‑working and demonstrate a strong desire to develop young players. Coach will be focused on player development, implementing practice plans and other necessary functions of the program.

Effective analytical and decision‑making skills. Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, and time‑management skills. Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse constituents.

Attention to detail and adaptability to a changing environment is extremely important as well as dependability.

Demonstrated ability to engage others in difficult conversations and manage conflict.

Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of information, protect the assets of the institution, act ethically and with integrity, adhere to the administrative and operational policies of Loyola Academy and perform the duties of your position consistent with those policies and the institution's expectations.

Moderate physical activity. Requires handling equipment of average weight up to fifty (50) pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.

Develop and Lead Offensive Programs
  • Develop and implement the team's offensive philosophy and identity.
  • Design weekly game plans, including formations, plays, and situational strategies.
  • Script practices to ensure effective offensive preparation.
  • Make real‑time play‑calling decisions during games.
  • Adjust schemes based on opponent tendencies and personnel strengths.
  • Ensure proper teaching progression for offensive systems.
  • Evaluate player performance through film review and practice observation.
  • Collaborate with strength staff to align offensive goals with player development.
  • Direct and support offensive position coaches.
  • Ensure consistent terminology and teaching methods across all levels (freshmen and sophomore).
  • Organize and lead offensive staff meetings.
  • Delegate responsibilities for drills, scouting reports, and film breakdown.
  • Break down opponent film to identify tendencies and weaknesses.
  • Prepare scouting reports and present them to staff and players.
  • Conduct self‑scouting to improve offensive efficiency.
  • Develop detailed offensive practice scripts.
  • Coordinate with defensive and special teams' staff for efficient use of practice time.
  • Emphasize fundamentals, situational awareness, and execution.
  • Align offensive philosophy with the Head Coach's vision.
  • Assist in offseason development programs and camps.
  • Promote a positive, disciplined, and team‑first culture.
Qualifications
  • Position requires a bachelor degree, one to three (1‑3) plus years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • All coaches will be required to complete ASEP or NFHS certificate and adhere to the IHSA compliance requirement.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, ability to maintain a flexible work schedule that may include nights and weekends.
  • Pre‑Employment screening is required: criminal background check and drug testing.
