Vehicle Mechanic

What you will enjoy doing

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of mechanical systems, safety features, and overall vehicle condition to maintain asset reliability and roadworthiness
• Diagnose and resolve issues in engines, transmissions, suspension, braking, and electrical components using structured troubleshooting
• Perform timely repairs and replacements on tires, brakes, bearings, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and precise lubrication to extend equipment service life
• Test vehicle systems after repairs to ensure functionality and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage accurate service logs, repair records, and inspection documentation while communicating repair recommendations to management and scheduling warranty work
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and strictly adhere to safety protocols, including proper handling of tools, equipment, and hazardous materials
• Demonstrate strong computer proficiency by operating diagnostic software, interpreting digital service data, updating electronic repair records, and using automotive information systems

• Uphold rigorous safety protocols to protect teammates and customers while maintaining an organized, hazard‑free workspace
• Bring a minimum of three years of commercial vehicle maintenance experience with proven success in engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, suspensions, and braking systems
• Hold Automotive Service Excellence certifications or equivalent expertise and actively pursue ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies
• Communicate clearly with management and drivers, deliver precise documentation, and take responsibility for proactive recommendations to prevent downtime
• Manage multiple work orders efficiently, prioritize preventative maintenance, and ensure quality through thorough testing and verification against company and regulatory requirements
• Preferably hold a Commercial Driver License Class A or Class B
• Value and contribute to a customer‑oriented, inclusive workplace that respects diverse perspectives
