Field/Service Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Field Service Technician Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of Hach instrumentation using established company standard work.
- Promote a positive customer experience and serve as the on‑site technical contact for service‑related problems.
- Work across municipal and industrial settings, including drinking water & wastewater treatment facilities, refineries, chemical manufacturing plants, and food & beverage processing facilities. Some assignments may involve servicing instruments in NEC hazardous locations (Class I Division 2).
- Submit prompt, accurate service reports that inform billing, inventory, instrument history, and failure analysis.
- Follow safe work practices in accordance with company policy.
- Execute administrative activities that support service visits.
- Work primarily in the Philadelphia area and travel extensively to customer sites, with up to 75 % of days involving overnight stays, which are company‑paid.
- Previous experience in travel‑based field service and/or customer‑facing roles strongly preferred.
- High school diploma required; associate’s or technical degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience.
- Basic mechanical aptitude is required; experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair is helpful.
- Occasional vehicle and hotel room rental for business travel. A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to rent vehicles and hotels in compliance with state law are required.
- 10‑week comprehensive training program: 8 weeks in the field with a dedicated trainer and 2 weeks of classroom training in Loveland, CO.
- 4 shifts per week at 10‑hour days following training, with three days off per week.
- Company car (maintenance and fuel paid). Company cell phone and corporate credit card for company expenses.

US‑only position. The hourly rate for this role ranges from $29.00 to $31.00. The role is also eligible for incentive pay. Salary is determined by factors such as education, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, travel requirements, and business needs.
