Maintenance Manager

Role Overview

The Maintenance Manager is a distinct leadership role that requires excellent customer service skills to build rapport with your team, residents, and vendors. You are the backbone of the community, overseeing service operations while maintaining the communities you serve. Our Service Managers are hands‑on leaders who enthusiastically take on new challenges to better support the Service team.

• Supervise a maintenance team while completing building and annual unit inspections to comply with local regulations.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to set expectations and meet deadlines.
• Prepare and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize emergency and service repairs.
• Understand budget guidelines when purchasing supplies and scheduling vendor services using purchase order systems and proper bidding procedures under the supervision of the General Manager.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert in all technical areas of property maintenance, providing mentorship and training to on‑site service teams.
• Remain open‑minded and flexible as day‑to‑day tasks may change based on the community’s needs.

• 3–5 years of experience working in apartment maintenance.
• EPA Certification Type I and II.
