Warehouse Janitorial Custodian 1st Shift

Position Title: Permanent Full Time Custodian

Location: Wilmington, Illinois

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Custodian in Wilmington, Illinois. The role is part of our warehousing team, ensuring a safe, clean, and operational environment.

• Hourly Pay: $17.00 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $25.50 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• At least one year of warehouse experience (preferred)
• May need equipment certification depending on location
• Ability to read location, date, and product codes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build professional relationships at all levels of the organization
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and self‑driven in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong organizational skills: manage multiple assignments, set priorities, adapt to changing conditions
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices

• Clean restrooms, break room, locker room, and office areas per sanitation schedule
• Clean exterior areas of the building, including windows, walkways, and empty trash containers per sanitation schedule
• Sweep and scrub warehouse floors and office areas per sanitation schedule
• Wipe down racks, guard rails, and walls in warehouse and office areas per sanitation schedule
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including overtime as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and tour‑ready facility
• Assist maintenance technicians and perform light maintenance such as painting
