Position Title

Compensation

$42,935 - $45,113 (Recruitment Range)

Final salary offers will be determined by the candidate's education, relevant experience, internal equity alignment, and departmental budgetary parameters.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze work demands to adequately maintain our facilities and provide optimum customer service and satisfaction.
  • Perform maintenance for all housing and residence life buildings.
  • Recommend work order requests to the physical plant for major items of repair in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and lock issues.
  • Work with the Assistant Director of Facility Operations to ensure maintenance supplies are stocked to meet daily needs and requirements.
  • Report daily to supervisor on the condition of facilities and work being done; on the progress of special projects and the number of daily maintenance requests that are being completed.
  • May work in Housing and Residence Life Warehouse as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position's role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Education, Professional Skills, and Experience
  • Thorough knowledge of methods used in building maintenance, repair, and renovation.
  • Ability to follow plans and schedules to meet deadlines and reach desired results.
  • Ability to collaborate with residence life staff, physical plant staff, contract housekeeping staff, and outside contractors on related issues and projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency using computers and iPads and various software systems.
  • Strong customer service skills.
