What You’ll Do
  • Perform advanced maintenance and repair of hospital buildings, utilities, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and other facility systems.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to maintain safe and reliable facility operations.
  • Complete preventive maintenance and respond to corrective maintenance needs as assigned.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Read and interpret building system drawings and technical documentation.
  • Apply knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Follow healthcare infection prevention practices and hazardous materials handling requirements during maintenance activities.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while working with team members, patients, visitors, and vendors.
  • Complete required department competencies, skills validations, and safety training.
  • Support a safe, clean, and compliant environment that promotes exceptional patient care
What We’re Looking For Education
  • High school diploma or GED, required.
Experience
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar facility, required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a healthcare facility or similar work environment, preferred.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license, required.
  • Ability to successfully complete department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
  • Strong knowledge of facility maintenance practices and the safe use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at all levels of the organization.
  • Broad knowledge of the design, operation, and repair of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, preferred.
  • Knowledge of reading and interpreting building system drawings, preferred.
  • Understanding of healthcare infection prevention requirements related to maintenance activities, preferred.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials waste handling as it relates to maintenance activities, preferred.
