POSITION SUMMARY:The Maintenance Technician supports the day-to-day operations of the Penobscot Bay YMCA by helping keep our facilities safe, clean, functional, and welcoming. Supporting the Director of Facilities, this role helps complete daily projects, respond to maintenance needs, and step in as needed to ensure smooth operations across all YMCA sites in Rockport and Rockland. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements, as well as hands‑on support for the custodial team to maintain clean and safe spaces.
The Maintenance Technician may assist with carpentry, painting, floor care, equipment/vehicle upkeep, and small repairs, and will also support pool operations to ensure safety and functionality. This role is essential to the YMCA’s mission, directly supporting programs for youth, families, and adults by maintaining the spaces our community depends on every day.
