Stockhandler Helper - Windsor Locks, CT

We are seeking a Stock handler Helper who will use hand trucks, carts, forklifts, and various other material handling equipment. The helper must be willing to climb ladders, work at various heights, and stand or walk during the entire duration of the shift. The role involves using a PC to send and receive email, and utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The helper must effectively use handheld scanning technology and gain knowledge of the inventory management system for processing store transactions.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid, clean motor vehicle operator’s license
• The ability to obtain a CDL B within 6 months of start date
• Ability to use hand trucks, carts, and other material handling equipment
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to physically lift and move material of up to 70 pounds at times (and 50 pounds on a frequent basis)
• Good computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft products
• Math skills and the ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to successfully complete the Eversource Time Merit Progression

• Prior related Stock handling experience is a plus.

• This position is part of a four-year job progression:
  Starting pay rate begins at Step 1 $ 31.70 and progresses in accordance with the union contract.
