Overview

Electro-Methods, a Stronvar Aerospace company, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems, manufacturing infrastructure, and facility equipment. This role is critical to ensuring a safe, compliant, and reliable operating environment that supports aerospace manufacturing operations. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will play a key role in maintaining equipment uptime, regulatory compliance, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Building Maintenance
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including electrical, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct routine facility inspections to identify safety hazards, deficiencies, and repair needs.
  • Maintain shop floor infrastructure, including doors, loading docks, racking, lighting, and work spaces.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility work orders.
Manufacturing Support
  • Support production areas with minor equipment moves, installations, and utility connections.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Engineering teams to support layout changes and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.
  • Ensure utilities such as air, power, and water meet operational and safety requirements.
Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, fire codes, and aerospace facility standards.
  • Support safety programs including lockout/tagout, confined space procedures, and emergency preparedness.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness, organization, and 5S standards.
  • Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
  • Coordinate and escort external contractors and service providers onsite.
  • Monitor contractor work to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Assist with vendor scheduling, site access, and required documentation.
Preventive Maintenance & Documentation
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.
  • Support CMMS or maintenance tracking systems as applicable.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and work instructions.
  • Strong safety awareness and compliance mindset.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
Additional Information
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • HVAC, electrical, or mechanical certifications are a plus.
  • Forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems is desirable.
  • Experience with Lean or 5S methodologies is beneficial.
  • Work environment includes a manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, noise, and shop-floor conditions.
  • May require occasional off-hours or weekend support for critical facility needs.
