Housekeeping Supervisor Primary Accountabilities :

Responsible for general cleaning ofpublic areas, residents’ rooms, and offices.

Public areas are defined as administrative offices, lobbies, nursingstations, med rooms, consultation rooms, bathing rooms, public restrooms,corridors, and stairwells.

• Dustsand polishes all surfaces, including high and horizontal surfaces, furniture and accessories in public areas and residents’ rooms.
• Spotcleans carpets, walls, doors, and other painted surfaces in public areas and residents’ rooms.
• Cleansand sanitizes public restrooms and residents’ bathrooms
• Maintainssupplies in public restrooms and residents’ bathrooms
• Follows Infection Control Policy and Procedures
• Dustspersonal belongings in place (picture frames, knick-knacks, etc.)
• Thoroughlycleans residents’ beds as assigned
• Emptiesand cleans trash cans, replaces liners
• Drymops, wet mops, and vacuums
• Completesdischarge cleaning as assigned
• Complies with Precautions Policy and Procedures
• Anyother duties as assigned

• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking the primary language ofthe elders.
• Ability toread and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Ability toapply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished inwritten, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability todeal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability toanalyze information, problems, situations, practices and procedures to accomplish defining the problem or objective, identifying relevant factors or concerns, identifying patterns, formulating logical and objective conclusions, and recognizing alternatives and implications.

• Basic knowledge of federal and state regulations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as exceptional customer service skills

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods oftime.
• Worknormally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination using cleaning equipment.
• Ability to stoop, kneel or crouch.
• Ability to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

• Worksprimarily indoors in a climate-controlled setting.
• Possibleexposure to unpleasant odors.
• Possibleexposure to chemicals as identified in the MSDS Manual.
• Continuousexposure to residents who are ill, confused, irritable and irrational.
