Senior Accountant-Equity
LaSalle Network is partnering with our client to hire a Senior Accountant-Equity to support end-to-end accounting ownership, from transaction-level activity through final financial reporting deliverables. This is a Direct Hire opportunity based in Northfield, IL with a hybrid work environment, offering exposure to a vertically integrated accounting model and high-impact SEC reporting work. The Senior Accountant-Equity will be heavily focused on technical accounting fundamentals, journal entries, and financial reporting, with meaningful visibility into how accounting flows into the 10-Q and 10-K.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries related to stock-based compensation transactions and equity activity
- Gather, calculate, and compile information needed to prepare financial statement footnotes, including equity and stock-based compensation disclosures
- Support the preparation of key reporting deliverables that flow into SEC filings, including the 10-Q and 10-K
- Reconcile accounts, calculate balances, and ensure accounting treatment is appropriate based on underlying transactions and supporting documentation
- Research unfamiliar transactions or agreements, determine the appropriate accounting treatment, and operate effectively without an established playbook
- Support accounting for equity transactions and non-controlling interests (NCI), including understanding how net income is allocated between controlling and non-controlling interests
Qualifications
- Strong accounting foundation with demonstrated ability to understand transactions and prepare journal entries and reconciliations
- Financial reporting and/or SEC reporting exposure (highly preferred)
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: stock-based compensation, equity transactions/NCI, or financial reporting/EPS
- Ability to explain how underlying data and transactions flow through accounting and into financial statements and disclosures
- Comfort working in a large, complex accounting environment and managing tight quarter-end and year-end reporting deadlines
- Experience with SAP (preferred) and/or Black Line (helpful)
- Familiarity with Fidelity for stock-based compensation/grant information (helpful)
