The Winnetka Public Schools District 36 has a full-time Kindergarten Teacher position available for the 26/27 School Year.

QUALIFICATIONS

Holds an Illinois Professional Educator's License (PEL) with a primary endorsement

Have a high energy level, as well as possess a keen understanding of elementary education best practices, child development principles, progressive education ideals, and a strong desire and commitment to work with elementary level children

Be able to articulate the needs of the elementary school child (physical, emotional, intellectual)

Have the ability to differentiate instruction within a heterogeneous student group

Have strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Have a commitment to continuous personal and professional growth

Work well cooperatively and effectively communicate with colleagues

Have working knowledge of computers, software, and technology

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Moderate degree of physical stamina with occasional lifting of 10 to 15 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds required in the physical assistance of students with special needs. Ability to move freely to various locations within the classroom, office and other business and community settings. Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and bending. Frequent repetitive activities including hands, arms, and legs for clerical related work.

Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
