Embark on a rewarding, full-time contract opportunity supporting students from early childhood through high school for the academic year. This role calls for passionate, licensed School Psychologists ready to make a positive impact across varying grade levels and settings, from Monday through Friday.
You’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to ensure student success and well‑being. Positions include both a travel Early Childhood Psychologist (0.6 FTE, three days a week, traveling to area preschools) and a K4 School Psychologist (1.0 FTE, five days a week, elementary setting). The focus will be on comprehensive evaluations, effective communication, and contributing expertise to IEP processes.
Qualifications- Valid Illinois School Psychologist license required
- Experience with early childhood assessment and/or K12 school‑age populations
- Strong understanding of special education law, best practices in evaluation and intervention
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in supporting families new to special education
- Ability to manage a flexible caseload; early childhood position requires travel between multiple preschools
- Previous participation in IEP meetings, re‑evaluation reviews, and eligibility meetings is highly valued
- Conduct re‑evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments
- Perform initial student evaluations as needed
- Facilitate MTSS data team meetings and support the IEP process
- Engage in clear, supportive communication with families, educational teams, and community partners
- Attend and lead IEP meetings, guiding problem‑solving and providing expert recommendations
