Kindergarten Teacher Positions Available
Crow Island and Hubbard Woods Elementary Schools of The Winnetka Public Schools District 36 has full-time Kindergarten Teacher positions available for the 26/27 School Year.
Qualifications:
- Holds an Illinois Professional Educator's License (PEL) with a primary endorsement
- Have a high energy level, as well as possess a keen understanding of elementary education best practices, child development principles, progressive education ideals, and a strong desire and commitment to work with elementary level children
- Be able to articulate the needs of the elementary school child (physical, emotional, intellectual)
- Have the ability to differentiate instruction within a heterogeneous student group
- Have strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Have a commitment to continuous personal and professional growth
- Work well cooperatively and effectively communicate with colleagues
- Have working knowledge of computers, software, and technology
Physical Requirements:
- Moderate degree of physical stamina with occasional lifting of 10 to 15 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds required in the physical assistance of students with special needs.
- Ability to move freely to various locations within the classroom, office and other business and community settings.
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and bending.
- Frequent repetitive activities including hands, arms, and legs for clerical related work.
- Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Terms of Employment:
