Embark on a rewarding school-based contract opportunity for the academic year, providing crucial psychological services for students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. This full-time role spans August 26, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with steady Monday Friday hours. Illinois state licensure is required.
Two unique caseload options are available within this school district one focusing on early childhood and another serving students in grades K-4:
Qualifications andPreferred Experience
- Valid School Psychologist license for the state of Illinois
- Experience in conducting comprehensive assessments, re-evaluations, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments
- Expertise in special education law and best practices, particularly for early childhood populations (for EC role)
- Strong communication skills, especially when collaborating with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to travel locally between multiple preschools (early childhood assignment)
- Dedication to clear, compassionate communication with families new to special education processes
- Capacity to facilitate MTSS data team meetings and support IEP development (K-4 assignment)
- Complete a variety of evaluations, including initial and re-evaluation assessments
- Meet with families and staff to discuss results and participate in eligibility meetings
- Attend and facilitate IEP meetings, supporting families and education professionals
- Engage in problem‑solving, data analysis, and team-based intervention strategies
- Maintain organized records and uphold confidentiality

Compensation for this position ranges from $40.00 to $60.00.
