Social Media Volunteer – ABCGibbons Run & Walk

As the nation's largest nonprofit focused exclusively on funding leukemia research, our grants are accelerating the development of new and better treatments and an ultimate cure for leukemia.

Through our patient-centered approach, access to leukemia experts, and nationwide partnerships, our support programs help patients and their loved ones navigate every step of the cancer journey.

We’re seeking a creative, motivated Social Media Volunteers to help bring the energy and impact of the ABC7 Gibbons Run to life online. This is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in event marketing, nonprofit communications, and community engagement.

• Develop and schedule engaging social media content (Instagram, Facebook, and Linked In) leading up to the event.
• Capture and share stories about participants, teams, and sponsors.
• Assist with on-site content creation on event day (Saturday, May 30).
• Help monitor engagement and respond to community interactions.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent branding and messaging.

• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Experience with social media platforms and content creation tools (Canva, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
• Enthusiastic, detail‑oriented, and reliable.
• Interest in marketing, communications, or nonprofit work.
• Availability to attend the event on May 30, 2026, is preferred.
