POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for cooking menu items for all diets in quantities as specified on all production sheets; prepares menu items as specified for the cooking rotation currently assigned to;Must strictly follow all guidelines pertaining to Cook Chill production;Complies with Jewish dietary laws as determined by the Simkin Centre;Maintains ingredient and portion control as per standardized recipes;Supervises and replaces dietary staff in the absence of the Food Services Manager or designate;Performs all duties in accordance with established health and safety regulations/guidelines, policies and procedures.Ability to lift 50 pounds utilizing appropriate lifting techniques.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Grade XII educationEnglish-as-a-Additional Language (EAL) Level 6 required. Must successfully complete a prescribed skills testCertificate from a recognized cooking school, or two years experience with excellent references working as a Cook / relief Cook in the Simkin CentreValid Food Handler CertificateSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
