Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Supervisor of Building and Grounds, this position is responsible for performing general grounds work at all sites, such as repairs and upgrades. Position maintains and repairs all grounds equipment including mowers, tractors, trucks, and all miscellaneous equipment, including the purchasing of necessary parts for said repairs. The incumbent will be responsible for snow removal at all Winona schools, requiring the operation of a snow plow and heavy equipment.
Will assist carpenters, plumbers, and electricians, performing any duties and jobs they request assistance with and given instructions for.
Qualifications:
The Maintenance/Buildings and Grounds person must have a well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of building and grounds maintenance, with above average skills in carpentry and general maintenance with the ability to work without immediate supervision. A minimum of a Special Class Boilers license required or an associates degree in a maintenance program and the ability to obtain a boilers license within 12-months of employment.
2nd Class Boilers License preferred. At the first opportunity the incumbent must complete Right-to-Know and Blood borne Pathogen training. Must hold a valid drivers license.
