Veritas Environmental Services LLC is looking for a motivated and dependable Maintenance Assistant to join our growing team in Winston Salem, NC! This is an exciting opportunity to start part-time with the potential to grow into a full-time position for the right candidate. • Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of facilities and equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Support senior maintenance staff with day-to-day service requests and work orders
• Inspect equipment, tools, and work areas to identify and report potential issues
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and storage spaces
• Follow all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company procedures
• Assist with grounds maintenance and general facility upkeep as needed

• Prior experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related hands-on trade preferred
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and general repair techniques
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a positive attitude
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Willingness to grow into a full-time role and take on additional responsibilities
