Janitorial Cleaner (Non-Exempt)

Hourly Rate: $15.00 – $18.00 (commensurate with experience)
Probationary Period:
Initial 90 days of employment
The Janitorial Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment in accordance with company and client standards. This position involves routine cleaning of restrooms, floors, surfaces, and designated work areas. The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and adherence to established safety procedures. This is a non‑exempt, part‑time position and does not qualify for overtime.
Schedules & Availability- Shift lengths: 5‑hour (e.g., 4 am–9 am) or 6‑hour (e.g., 4 am–10 am or 6 am–10 am).
- Night shift: 12 am–8 am (optional, one day per week).
- Day‑porter positions: 4‑hour shifts (no overtime).
- Work week starts Saturday and ends Friday; a maximum of 5 consecutive workdays within a 7‑day week.
- Availability required on weekends, holidays, and blackout dates.
- Shifts vary by location.
- Wash, buff, and maintain tile and carpet floors.
- Clean restrooms and maintain soap and paper supplies.
- Clean and disinfect trash bins.
- Vacuum daily and remove stains from carpets.
- Perform detailed cleaning of gondolas, corner guards, and machinery after use.
- Pick up trash throughout the store, including the front area.
- Maintain the backroom organized and stocked with chemicals.
- Documented eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work overnights, weekends, holidays, and blackout dates.
- Must wear slip‑resistant closed shoes and a uniform T‑shirt; no leggings or shorts allowed.
- Must maintain an upright posture: bend, kneel, and reach as required.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull a maximum of 50 lbs; operate equipment up to 200 lbs.
- No audio headphones during working hours.
- Must use a mobile device to clock in/out.
- Must be savvy with mobile payroll and time‑keeping applications.
