Warehouse Forklift Operator 1st Shift

Overview

Ryder is hiring a Permanent Full Time Stand Up Forklift Operator in Sturtevant, Wisconsin.

• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading and unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certifed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; be a team player and work within a diverse environment.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Highly thorough and dependable; punctual with good attendance.
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision; possesses initiative and accuracy under pressure.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods; able to work using health and safety methods.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule on various shifts; detail-oriented with excellent follow-up.

Experience with medical supplies handling; equipment includes stand-up forklifts.
