Overview

Cardinal LG is an industry leader. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and optimizing a mix of advanced thermal, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems unique to world‑class glass fabrication. You will have autonomy to solve complex issues, lead preventative maintenance initiatives, and directly impact facility efficiency.

Schedule

Shift Options: 2nd Shift (Monday‑Thursday to Friday AM, 1:45 PM – 12:15 AM); 3rd Shift (Monday‑Thursday to Friday AM, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM); WKD Shift (Friday‑Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on various equipment.
  • Respond to calls in a timely manner, prioritizing tasks.
  • Work on projects individually or with teammates, as assigned.
  • Use the Maintenance Support website to complete work orders.
  • Seek ways to improve processes, PMs, and equipment.
  • Clean tools and work area after completing tasks.
  • Help maintain parts inventory and communicate with the Maintenance Purchaser.
  • Partner with Production Managers and Supervisors to schedule work to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with new equipment installation/tear‑downs.
  • Troubleshoot machinery.
  • Perform facilities maintenance in office areas, bathrooms, and common areas.
  • Work with outside contractors as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
  • Dispose of oils, lubricants, grease, and cleaning agents per safety and environmental standards.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Accept more challenging assignments as experience and knowledge allow.
  • Train others to develop knowledge in specialized areas.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Self‑directed and self‑managed.
  • Excellent ability to partner with production and other departments.
  • Positive attitude aligned with Cardinal LG’s leadership philosophy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing capacity.
  • Ability to interpret schematics.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Plumbing knowledge.
  • Welding and/or machining experience.
  • Associate or technical degree in industrial maintenance or similar.
  • PLC knowledge.
  • Experience programming/installing frequency drives.
  • HVAC experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, lifting, climbing.
  • Oral and written communication.
  • Ability to see within normal parameters and hear within normal range.
Work Conditions
  • Indoors with exposure to loud noises, fumes, odors, and dusts.
  • Hot and cold temperatures near ovens and in winter conditions.
