Position: SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (Indefinite)-T32 with Security Clearance
Location: Green Lake

Duties As a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (Indefinite)-T32, WS-5801-11, you will supervise workers directly or through subordinate leaders and/or supervisors in accomplishing work of the function. Plans work operations of great scope, complexity, and administrative authority. Determines the sequence, priority, and time for performance of operations within the limits of broad work schedules and time limits. DUTIES:
* Plans use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to week or month-to-month basis.
* Assigns tasks to be performed based on readiness and explains work requirements, methods, and procedures.
* Plans and establishes overall leave schedules.
* Performs non-supervisory work, such as, transporting equipment, performing maintenance tasks, etc.
* Develops, publishes, and ensures employee compliance with standing operating procedures for the activity supervised.
* Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises.

Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Military Grades: E-1 through E-9 and WO1 through CW3 Conditions of Employment:
* Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
* This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
* Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
* Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
* The duties and responsibilities of your job may significantly impact the environment. You are responsible to maintain awareness of your environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, your organization, and its changing mission.
* Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
* National Guard Membership is required.
* Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
* Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
* May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE :
Experience or training which demonstrates knowledge of equipment to be able to do routine jobs, simple preventative maintenance tasks, and can use common tools and equipment in the line of work. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :
To qualify for the WS-5801-11 level, you must have 36 months experience or training leading to an extensive knowledge of the mechanical makeup, operation, and working relationships of complex interconnecting systems, assemblies, and parts for a variety of combat, tactical, commercial, special purpose vehicles, and equipment. Ability to diagnose, repair, overhaul, and modify interconnected complex systems on a variety of combat, tactical, commercial, special purpose vehicles, and equipment.

Extensive knowledge of state of the art electrical, electronic, complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and other major non-mechanical systems that have a functional relationship and effect on the operation of major mechanical systems. Extensive knowledge of hydraulic lifting, loading, turning, and positioning systems and their mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic controls.…
