PositionWe are seeking a high-energy individual to join our team as a Seasonal Maintenance Technician at our Lake Mason Campground in Briggsville, WI. This person must be trustworthy, committed to providing the ultimate experience for our guests, and have a keen eye for the little details. Our company has been growing rapidly and the right individual for this role is very organized, a jack of all trades, great with people, and comfortable with shifting priorities.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Oversee the day to day operations of the park maintenance
- Responsible to keep the property clean, safe, well maintained and in good working order
- Ensure all maintenance functions, including preventative maintenance are completed in a timely manner and are safety compliant
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of campground mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
- Enforce and follow proper use of the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
- Oversee and complete maintenance requests and repairs in a timely manner and in order of priority
- Participate in different maintenance or landscaping projects
- Identify, location and operate all shut off valves for water, equipment and alarm panels
- Effectively communicate each day's activities and issues to the General Manager
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
- Obtain certifications to meet state and local government regulations
- Prepare reports as required, relating to procedures, efficiency, scheduling, attendance, etc.
- Provide great customer service with a focus on improving guest satisfaction
- Maintain tool and supply inventories
- Directed by General Manager, monitor and implement the department safety program, which ensures all employees work in a safe and hazard free environment that complies with various local, state and federal safety requirements
- Demonstrate a professional attitude toward staff
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
- Precise control and adherence to Heartland Parks policies of all maintenance and safety programs
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years experience in maintenance or related field
- Hear and speak the English language fluently
- Strong decision making ability
- Reliable, conscientious, detail-oriented, self motivated, results driven
- Ability to work independently with strong time management skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills with ability to manage confrontation
- Strong working knowledge of carpentry, mechanical, electrical and plumbing procedures
- Comfortable in a fast paced and high pressure environment
- Ability to read and maintain a budget
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Able to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Able to work inside and outdoors, and in various climates
- Possession of a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, move safely over uneven terrain, and smell.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. - Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Technician has no supervisory responsibilities.
$17 - $20 per hour (depending on experience and if site rent is needed). Hourly Non
- Exempt. Days and hours may vary based on resort needs, but not to exceed 40 hours per week.
