Location: Galesville

Lutheran Social Services of WI & UP MI seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep our care-focused facilities safe, reliable, and welcoming. In this hands-on role, you'll perform routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building issues, and respond to urgent repair needs in residential and program settings. You'll help ensure compliance with safety and health standards, coordinate with vendors, and support room setups and minor renovations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds across LSS facilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical issues
  • Complete work orders promptly while documenting work performed and parts used
  • Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with building, fire, and health regulations
  • Assist with room setups, moves, minor renovations, and general facilities support
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs
  • Respond to urgent maintenance requests and on-call needs to support client safety
  • Maintain tools, supplies, and inventory in an organized, secure manner
  • Identify, report, and help mitigate facility hazards and repair needs
  • Collaborate with program staff to minimize disruption to client services during maintenance
