Environmental Services Aide

Burnett Medical Center Inc is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to support a safe, sanitary, and welcoming hospital environment for patients, visitors, and staff. In this role, you will clean and disinfect patient rooms, clinical areas, restrooms, and public spaces, following strict infection-prevention and safety standards. Duties include floor care, waste and linen handling, restocking supplies, and timely room turnover. You'll work closely with a supportive, patient-centered team in a small, rural hospital committed to compassion, respect, and community-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, and clinical areas
• Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of hospital spaces
• Handle biohazard and regular waste following infection control protocols
• Restock linens, paper products, and cleaning supplies
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely
• Support infection prevention by following hospital cleaning procedures
• Respond to room turnover and urgent cleaning requests promptly
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff to prioritize cleaning needs
• Follow all safety, OSHA, and hospital policies
• Report maintenance or safety hazards to appropriate staff
