Location: West Salem

Lutheran Social Services of WI & UP MI seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our healthcare and social service environments safe, functional, and welcoming. In this on-site role, you'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical repairs. You'll complete inspections, respond to urgent work orders, support room setups and small projects, and coordinate with vendors while following safety, infection-control, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and fixtures across LSS facilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues within scope of role
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance in healthcare-related spaces
  • Coordinate and document work orders, parts usage, and maintenance activities
  • Support room setups, minor renovations, and space reconfigurations for programs and offices
  • Respond to urgent maintenance requests and after-hours emergencies as needed
  • Collaborate with program staff to minimize disruption to services during maintenance work
  • Work with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and scheduled services
  • Follow safety procedures, infection-control standards, and applicable building codes
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of essential maintenance supplies
