Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS) seeks a Repair Technician to keep medical and assistive equipment safe, reliable, and ready for those we serve. In this role, you will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair items such as wheelchairs, lifts, and adjustable beds used across LSS programs and in client homes. You'll perform preventive maintenance, respond to repair requests, maintain parts inventory, and document all work to meet regulatory and organizational standards.

Working within a faith-inspired, trauma-informed, and inclusive culture, you'll collaborate with clinical and program staff to ensure equipment supports client independence and well-being. Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair medical and assistive equipment used in LSS programs and client homes
  • Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks on wheelchairs, lifts, beds, and related devices
  • Document all service, parts, and repairs in accordance with regulatory and LSS standards
  • Prioritize and respond to repair requests to minimize equipment downtime and support client care
  • Collaborate with clinical and program staff to ensure equipment meets client needs and safety requirements
  • Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and replacement equipment; coordinate vendor service when needed
  • Follow infection-control, OSHA, and manufacturer guidelines during all repair activities
  • Provide basic user guidance to staff and clients on safe operation and care of equipment
