Apartment Maintenance Technician

As KCG Residential continues its tremendous growth, we look for great people that share in our core values to add to our team. KCG is looking to hire a full-time Maintenance Technician for our residential community.

As the Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the complex. Your position will ensure our residents receive timely and high-quality maintenance repairs and customer service.

• Communicates and follows up with the maintenance supervisor about maintenance concerns and the status of work orders.
• Maintains the interior and exterior condition along with preservation of the property. This will include but is not limited to picking up trash, cleaning common areas, sweeping or shoveling walkways, and salting icy areas.
• Paints, cleans, and repairs all vacant units within a timely and impeccable manner.

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is constantly moving about at the job site moving, building, and tearing down objects. They frequently move about and position themselves inside tight and cramped spaces. They occasionally operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and computer. One must be able to exchange accurate information with tenants and others in the office while interacting.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The individual must be capable of reviewing their work for errors and make adjustments as necessary.

· High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate);

· 2-3 years of building maintenance experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· CPO and EPA/HVAC licensing preferred.
