About the Role
The Regional Maintenance Support Specialist supports multiple communities within the Northern Virginia / Maryland / DC Region by providing advanced technical expertise, hands‑on repair capability, and on‑request supervisory support. The role ensures high‑quality maintenance operations, strengthens team performance through training and leadership, and contributes to capital project success across the region.
What You'll Do- Team Leadership & Development:
Mentor and cross‑train maintenance associates; provide on‑request supervision, coaching, and hiring support; promote participation in training programs. - Maintenance Operations & Repairs:
Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and more; complete preventive maintenance and common‑area upkeep; respond to maintenance requests and emergencies. - Project & Vendor Support:
Oversee on‑site capex projects and vendor work quality; assist with bidding, scope development, and procurement; track project timelines to meet milestones. - Compliance & Safety:
Ensure adherence to policies, OSHA standards, and hazardous materials requirements; conduct routine inspections of building systems and safety equipment. - Resident & Community Support:
Support make‑ready schedules, move‑ins, and move‑outs; maintain communication with onsite and regional teams across multiple communities.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EPA Certification, Type II or universal
- CPO Certification (Pool)
- CAMT Certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on building maintenance experience
- Supervisory experience
- Multifamily/apartment experience
- Experience with Yardi or similar property management software
Estimated Rate of Pay: $81,840.00 - $91,520.00 (annual salary)
