Custodian - Night Shift

DESCRIPTION: Southeast Regional School District has an immediate opening for a full-time custodian. Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm.

• Keeps buildings and premises neat and clean at all times.
• Shovels, plows, and sands walkways, driveways, parking areas, and steps as appropriate.
• Checks daily to ensure that all exit doors are closed or open and all panic bolts are working properly during building occupancy.
• Sweeps classrooms daily and dusts furniture as needed.
• Cleans corridors after school each day and during the day when condition requires.
• Scrubs, hoses down, and disinfects toilet floors daily; cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains as needed.
• Washes windows inside and outside at least twice per year, more frequently if necessary.
• Keeps the building and grounds free from rubbish.
• Makes minor building repairs.
• Reports major repairs promptly to the supervisor and reports all motors and other mechanical equipment requiring scheduled servicing.
• Ensures all doors and windows are secure and all lights are turned off before leaving.
• Conducts general maintenance, upkeep, and repair.
• Moves furniture or equipment as required for various activities and as directed by supervisor.
• Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish, and waste.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the superintendent and/or supervisor of custodians.

• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
• Reliability in attendance and maturity.

This position is classified as medium work, which means you may need to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

You will be standing, walking, twisting, bending, stooping, and reaching constantly throughout the work day and must be able to perform a variety of gross and fine motor skills using your feet, legs, arms, hands, and fingers.

You must possess visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses, to perform the essential functions of the position, including the operation of tools, vehicles, and job‑specific equipment.

Subject to variations in environmental conditions, including exposure to inclement weather and extremes in temperature.

Full‑time

$20 to $29 Per Hour
