MOTOR EQUIPMENT REPAIRMAN – DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS – CITY OF WORCESTER
The Department of Public Works seeks applicants interested in the full‑time position of Motor Equipment Repairman. Typical duties include repair and maintenance functions on a wide variety of municipal vehicles in a modern, clean, and well‑lit garage.
Requirements:
Prior professional experience as a mechanic and a successful query from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Clearing House.
Benefits: Full uniform service provided free of charge; $150 annual boot allowance; ASE Certification stipends—Class 1 – $100 per week, Class 2 – $75 per week, Class 3 – $50 per week; ongoing specialized technical training; eligible for overtime; shift work may be required; benefits available from day one.
Hourly Range: $33.41 – $40.71 per hour.
Mandatory MandatesInterested candidates must register on the Civil Service list for MOTOR EQUIPMENT REPAIRMAN, DPW as soon as possible.
