Utility Operator

Perform on assigned shift, operating duties of a minor or routine nature, support operation of electro-static precipitators and fly ash conveyance systems, plant cleaning, assist workers of equal or higher classification in work pertaining to plant operation, as required and assigned, if qualified.

• Plant Operations:
  Perform minor and routine operating duties, and support the operations of electro-static precipitators and fly ash conveyance systems.
• Assistance:
  Assist workers of equal or higher classification in daily plant operations, maintenance tasks, and structural upkeep.
• Maintenance & Cleaning:
  Execute general plant cleaning, inspect shipments and parts for accuracy, and maintain tools and vehicles in a safe, orderly condition.
• Safety & Compliance:
  Investigate complaints, strictly adhere to federal/state safety laws (OSHA), and ensure safe work practices are followed across the assigned shift.

• Education:
  
  A two-year associate degree in electronics, electromechanical, or an equivalent technical specialty is generally required.
• License:
  Must hold a valid State Driver's License.
• Skills:
  
  Must be able to read and work from simple blueprints/specifications and possess the physical ability to learn and use required plant tools

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be ($26.62/hr to $32.85/hr)
