Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organizational and time‑management skills, and establish retailer relationships while representing Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.50 to $17.50 depending on experience.
- Paid training through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training.
- Part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits including medical, dental, vision, etc.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule.
- Average weekly hours are between 12 and 17.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
- Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Day‑to‑day engagement: using a mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory, communicate with supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers.
- Holiday support: accommodate additional days and extended hours during peak holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. May include working on the holiday itself and weekends.
- Department resets: participate in installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting sections. Receive two‑week notice for remodel assignments; may involve evenings or weekends.
- Team collaboration: support other merchandisers in the network when needed.
This is a physically demanding job requiring consistent ability to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Kneel, squat, walk, stand throughout the day, and may be required to climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Proficient reading, writing, and understanding of English.
- Able to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficient with a digital handheld device for reading and interpreting documents.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores on schedule.
